Content is key [period]. If a particular search phrase is not used on your Web site, don't expect to be found for that particular term. Search engines look at the most commonly used words and phrases on a site... as well as each specific page. Each page can have its own message and/or products that it is selling, so don't think you have to put every keyword on every page. What is the message or product that you're selling? Once you've answered that question, write your copy using the words someone else would use on a search engine to find that particular product. The challenge is to write the copy so that it is compelling to both people as well as search engines.
